Stella’s getting her groove on, Florida style!

Recently I was given the privilege to become the next recipient of Stella. Thank you Kady!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No we are not passing around a kid through the mail, but we all tend to treat her like one of our own.
Stella is a little cut out stitching doll that was created by Lindsay and Lorrie from England in November 2008. Their idea is for Stella to travel as many places around the globe as she can in exactly one year.

I received Stella on Monday in her insured box at the post office and we immediately started to show her some Florida hospitality.
Stella 004Alexa and my niece Mikayla meeting Stella for the first time.

She began her day with us at SeaWorld.
Stella is as sneaky as I was told she would be. She was so overwhelmed with all the flowers that she jumped out of her pouch and into the flower beds.

Stella 007 Here's Mikayla yelling at Stella....!

Stella 009 Even Stella had to give her thumb print before entering the gates. Man did the people behind us get aggravated when her thumb print couldn’t be recognized. She held up the whole line.

Stella 013Alexa and Stella enjoying the show!

Stella 014 Stella saw her first dolphins at Blue Horizons. She got so excited she tried to jump in the tank. Thank goodness the girls were in their bathing suits.

Stella 037She then joined the girls on the Carousel. She got dizzy and sick to her tummy and spit out some Elmers glue in my direction. She still insisted on riding it again.

Stella 038

Stella 048 Stella of course wanted to jump in the tank with Shamu too and we had to hold her back. This was as close as we let her get to a killer whale.

Stella 051 She even got a little daring and went on the crab that raises you up and drops you straight down. She’s a lot braver than me because I won’t go on it because I’m too scared and besides that the seats are not so good with a big butt.

Stella 058 Stella 061 Stella 063 Stella loved the fireworks and she was so lucky because she was the only one that the bugs didn’t bite. I wonder why???? LOL

Stella 068 As tired as Alexa was she wanted to read Stella a bedtime story and they both fell fast asleep! So far it seems that Stella and Alexa have become the best of friends.

Stella 067

Part 2 of Stella’s Florida adventures will be coming soon!……. To be continued!

Hi Jill--what a fabulous start to Stella's Florida visit--she really is getting her groove on. I'm starting to be envious of her after watching all the cool things she's gotten to do since Lindsay sent her from England to me in North Carolina back last December. Oh the stories Stella can tell. Can't wait to see what else she does while she's with you!

How cool. There is also a gardening gnome that is making it's round to as many gardens as possible in 6 months..I love this idea.

How cool! I am glad she is having so much fun with you. I love that she got to see the whales and the fireworks too! So glad that the girls are excited to play with her. I think she missed having some little girls to play with. Don't you just love that little bed? I can't remember which one of her hostesses made that for her.

Can't wait to see the rest of her adventures!

Hi Jill:
What a cute post!! Your mind is way too creative to waste on a blog, lol. You and Justine should be writing some books.
I cracked up over Stella getting sick and spitting some glue your way.
Great pictures.

Hey Stella, Glad to hear you are having a blast in Florida. Wish I was there to visit my Granddaughter. Do you remember visiting me and our visit to the Charles Schulze Museum? I hope so, after all I'm the one who made the purse for you. I notice it has become your fav since you left here. I'm glad too. Have a great time for me since I can't be there.

Oh and Stella....you just better behave yourself too. Heehee.
